I'm Still confused, Which radio do I need?

We’re Here to Help You Get Race-Ready

Our basic radio receiver is designed to work across a wide range of motorsport categories, including:

  • Circuit Racing: Fully compatible with requirements set by Tony Quinn Group circuits and Motorsport NZ events, including the GT NZ Club.

  • Speedway NZ: Our radios are fully SNZ-approved and are compatible with all Speedway NZ tracks.

  • NAZCAR: The official NAZCAR channel is pre-programmed into every radio.

Switching between these channels is simple — just select the matching channel on the radio. No reprogramming required.

What Happens if the Battery Runs Flat?

Unlike many competing products, our radios retain their programming even when the battery is completely depleted — so you’ll never lose your setup or have to reconfigure after charging.

Do Other Radios Offer Better Range or Coverage?

Some competitors claim superior performance, but the facts say otherwise. Radio reception ability is measured by receiver sensitivity, and according to the technical specifications, our radios have identical sensitivity to competing brands — meaning no difference in real-world coverage.

Can the Radio Be Used for More Than Just Receiving?

Yes. Our radios are full transmitters, with 13 channels enabled for two-way communication using the Public Radio Service (PRS) channels.
(Refer to our Radio Spectrum Management section for more details.)

Do You Offer Custom Programming on your Radios?

Yes — we can provide custom programming, but we’ll first need a clear understanding of your requirements.
At SpeedTech, we only program radios that comply with RSM standards.
