This is a radio that is capable of dual watch receive, which is perfect for use on the circuits around NZ. When used, the user can listen to two channels at once, allowing them to communicate with Pit crews and listen to the MANZ track channel simultaneously. When a signal is detected in a channel, it will be presented to the user. Please note that this is achieved through a dual receive function rather than a scanning function.
This radio is compatible with both digital (DMR) and analog systems. Our default method of driver communication is via digital (DMR) as it is superior in every way to analogue. It is louder, clearer, has better coverage and has fantastic battery life. (Why anyone would go analogue nowadays escapes us!)
SpeedTech offers the use of its private, licensed commercial channels through our in-car or car-to-pits radios. These channels are licensed nationally for Motorsport use.
These are a 5-watt radio.
